Attention Heepsters:
This song is written by Phil “Boz Roz” Rossner of The Boz Roz Band.
They are a blues rock band, but they wanted to write a Uriah Heep-type
song. This is it. They have Uriah Heeps Bernie Shaw singing it with
them.

They intended to include Traveler on their next CD, but the band broke
up before that would happen.

I’m a trav-‘ler from the o-ther side

6 -6 -6 6 6 -5 -5 -4
And here my sto-ry is told

-4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -6 6
I’ve watched the years go pass-ing by

-4 5 -5 -5 -5 5 4 -4
Heard the sto-ries from knights of old

-6 -6 -6 7 7 -7 -6 6 6
Plea-sure and pain have fal-len like rain

-5 6 -6 -6 -6 6 -5 5 5 -4
On the cast of a tri-li-on souls

-4 -4 -4 5 -5
But you’ve looked a-way

5 -4 -6 6
And turned your backs

-5 6 -6 -6 6 -5 5 -4 -4
On the fu-ture I have fore-told

Verse 2:
I’ve hidden myself in the robes of saints
Been scorched by the fires of Hell
In times of war and failing peace
Found you all by the wishing well
Demons and wizards have brushed me by
As they gathered their flocks to fight
When I caught their shadow against crumbling wall
They fell deeper into the night

Verse 3:
Now my story is almost told
My journey is nearing its end
When I look back on my eternal quest
I ache for the embrace of a friend
And now you ask me for my final words
To fulfill your greatest desire
As I lay down low, whisper to the ground
Make your love as consuming as fire
Make your love as consuming as fire
-5 6 -6 -6 6 -6 7 -7 -7
Make your love as con-sum-ing as fire

Verse 4:
I’m a traveler from the other side
And here my story’s been told
We’ve watched the years go passing by
Heard the stories from knights of old
Pleasure and pain have fallen like rain
On the cast of a trillion souls
But you’ve looked away and turned your backs
On the future I have foretold

If you’d like to for the heck of it, you can play the base line on a G
harp. Basically, it’s like this:

2 -1 2 1 2 -1 2

There are a couple of times that a -2 is played instead of that first
2.
