Install/Setup Guitar Pro

Installation Guitar Pro 6 likes Pro7 and 8.

Once the download is complete, launch the executable file and follow the instructions. Check the recap statement and click “install”.

Near the end of the installation, a “Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistribuable” window will come up. It is vital that you do install that component for Guitar Pro 6 to run smoothly. Do not close that window!

You have finished installing Guitar Pro.

Then launch Guitar Pro 6. The activation window comes up. 
Type in the license information that you have received from Arobas Music, and click OK after you have read the End User License Agreement.

If everything has gone right, the following window comes up. Congratulations, you have successfully installed and activated Guitar Pro 6!

In case your numbers have been mistyped, the following window comes up. Please make sure that you have correctly typed in your license information.

If your computer has failed to connect to the activation server, the following message appears:

Adjust your firewall settings and try again.

Guitar Pro 7.6 activation

Once Guitar Pro 7.6 installed, you need to activate it with your license number (or User ID). This license number has been sent to you by email after your order from our website.
You can retrieve it at any time once logged to your Guitar Pro account (My Licenses section).

Open Guitar Pro 7.6 and enter your license number in the activation window as shown below, then select Activate.

After you active success, it will be:

Guitar Pro 8 activation

Once Guitar Pro 8 installed, you need to activate it with your Guitar Pro 8  license number.

Please make sure to use your Guitar Pro 8  license, and not the license of a former Guitar Pro version (7.6/6/5/…). Otherwise you won’t be able to activate Guitar Pro 8. 

The Guitar Pro 8 license is composed of 3 sequences of 8 characters (numbers and letters), and always start with the 8 digit looking like this:

8XXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX .

Enter your license number in the activation window as shown below, then select Activate.

Guitar Pro 8  is now successfully activated!
