Do You Sleep, O My Lord God

2 -2” 3 -4 6 5 4
Do you sleep, O my Lord God?
5 -5 5 4 -3” 3
Why do you hide from me?
2 -2” 3 -4 6 5 4
I am down, O my Lord God:
5 -5 5 4 -3”
Cast down in misery.
4 -3 -3” -5 -6 6 4
O my God, rise and help me
5 -5 5 4 -3” 4
With Your unfailing love.
4 -3 -3” -5 -6 6 4
So a-wake, O my Lord God.
5 -5 5 -4 4 4
Awake and hear my plea.

Verse 2:
We have heard from our fathers
Your deeds of long ago.
How You stood with Your people,
And helped them beat the foe.
It was not swords that vanquished,
But rather You, O Lord.
So be with us, Our Savior,
5 -5 5 -4 -4 4
Where ev-er we may go.

Do You See Him

4 -4 5 4 5 -5 6 5
Do you see Him? Do you see Him?
5 -5 6 6 -5 5 -4
Ti-ny baby in the hay;
4 -4 5 4 5 -5 6 5
Shepherds saw Him and adored Him—
7 -6 6 5 4 -4 4 4
Christ the Savior came today!

4 -4 5 4 5 -5 6 5
Do you know Him? Do you know Him?
5 -5 6 6 -5 5 -4
Jesus came to save from sin;
4 -4 5 4 5 -5 6 5
Is there darkness, pain, or sadness?
7 -6 65 4 -4 4 4
Let God’s Son now enter in.

4 -4 5 4 5 -5 6 5
Do you trust Him? Do you trust Him?
5 -5 6 6 -5 5 -4
God of love is God of might:
4 -4 5 4 5 -5 6 5
Changing those that trust His power,
7 -6 6 5 4-4 4 4
Jesus gives us joy and light!

Rest of The Song (Same tune)

You can really breathe in San Jose
They’ve got a lot of space.
There’ll be a place where I can stay
I was born and raised in San Jose
I’m going back to find some peace of mind in San Jose.

Fame and fortune is a magnet.
It can pull you far away from home
With a dream in your heart you’re never alone.
Dreams turn into dust and blow away
And there you are without a friend
You pack your car and ride away

L.A. is a great big freeway.
Put a hundred down and buy a car.
In a week, maybe two, they’ll make you a star
Weeks turn into years. How quck they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas

I’ve got lots of friends in San Jose
Do you know the way to San Jose?
Can’t wait to get back to San Jose.

A Little History:
«Do You Hear What I Hear?» is a Christmas song written in October 1962
with lyrics by Noel Regney and music by Gloria Shayne Baker. The pair
were married at the time, and wrote it as a plea for peace during the
Cuban Missile Crisis.
Noel Regney wrote the lyrics for the song, while Gloria Shayne Baker
composed the Christmas carol’s music.
Regney was inspired to write the lyrics «Said the night wind to the
little lamb, ‘Do you see what I see?’ » and «Pray for peace, people
everywhere,» after watching babies being pushed in strollers on the
sidewalks of New York City. Baker stated in an interview years later
that neither could personally perform the entire song at the time they
wrote it because of the emotions surrounding the Cuban Missile
Crisis.

Do You Feel Like We Do (intro)

I don’t know what key this was originally written in, but I tabbed it
in G to avoid overblows. I even play it on my C harp because the lower
end is broken in better than on my G.

It takes a lot-ta nerve to take a chance
-7 -7 -7 -7 -6 5 -5 -66 -6 5
It would be worth it for the sweet ro-mance
7 -8 8 -8 8 -8 7 -6-5 -4
Hope we can get to-geth-er some time
-4 -4 5 -5 5 -4 4 4 4
Now here’s the ques-tion that’s on my mind

7 -8 8 8 -8 8 7
Do you ev-er fool a-round
-7 -7 -7 -7 -5 -6 6
Could you lay your wings a-side
7 -8 8 8 -8 7 -8 7 7 -4
Does an an-gel ev-er touch the ground
-4 5 -5 5 -4 5 4
Do you ev-er fool a-round

I know this would be a first time thing
To make love outside your ring
You’re not free and you have your doubts
But with this feeling we’ll work it out
‘Cause there’s a need deep inside that’s yours
You won’t say yes but you won’t say no
And no matter how hard you try
You can’t hide the want that’s in your eyes

Do you ever fool around
Could you lay your wings aside
Does an angel ever touch the ground
Do you ever fool around

Do You Believe in Magic?(first 3 verses)

4 4 4 -4 -5 6 -5
do you believe in magic

-6 6 6 -5 -5
in a young girls heart

-5 -5 -6 6 -5 6 -4
how the music can free her,

-5 6 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -6 6 -5
whenever it starts and its ma gi-ic

-6 6 6 6 6 6 -5
if the music is groovy

-5 -6 6 6 6 -5 -5 -4 -5 6 6 -5
it makes you feel happy like an old- time movie

-4 -5 -5 -5 -5 6 -5 6 -5 -6 6 -5 6
ill tell you bout the magic itll free your soul

-5 -5 -5 -6-6 -6 6 6 6 -5 -5
but its like tryin to tell a stranger bout

6 -5 -6 6 -5
rock and ro-o-oll.

Repeat notes above for next 2 verses:

If you believe in magic don’t bother to choose
If it’s jug band music oer rhythm and blues
Just go and listen it’ll start with a smile
It won’t wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your feet start tapping and you can’t seem to find
How you got there, so just blow your mind

If you believe in magic, come along with me
We’ll dance until morning till there’s just you and me
And maybe, if the music is right
I’ll meet you tomorrow, sort of late at night
And we’ll go dancing, baby, then you’ll see
How the magic’s in the music and the music’s in me

But that preacher’s words could not be heard,

Do Wah Diddy Diddy

6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -6 -5 6
There she was just a-walkin’ down the street

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do

6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Poppin’ her fingers and shufflin’ her feet

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do

6 7 6 6 7 6
She looked good, she looked fine,

6 7 6 6 7 6
She looked good, she looked fine

7 7 6 6 7 7 6
and I nearly lost my mind

5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -6 -5 6
Before I knew it she was walkin’ next to me

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do

6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -6 -5 6
Holdin’ my hand just as nat’ral as can be

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do

6 7 6 6 7 6 6 7 6 6 7 6
We walked on to my door,we walked on to my door

7 7 6 6 7 7 6
Then we kissed a little more

7 7 7 7 7 7 7 -7 -6 5
Wo-o I knew we were falling in love

-6 6 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6
Yes I did, and so I told her all the things

6 6 -6 -6 -6 6
That I’d been dreamin’ of.

5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6-6 -6 -5 6
Now we’re together nearly every single day

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do

6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -6 -5 6
We’re so happy and that how we’re gonna stay

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do

6 7 6 7 6
Well I’m hers, she’s mine,

7 6 7 6 7 7 6 6 7 7 6
I’m hers, she’s mine, wedding bells are gonna chime

5 -5 6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Singin’ do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do,

6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do,

6 6 6 6 6 6 -6 -6 -5 6
Do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do.

Do U Know What it is to miss New Orleans

4 -4 5 6 -6 -7
Do you know what it means

7 -7 -6 6 -6
to miss New Orleans

7 -7 -6 6 -6 7 5
And miss it each night and day?

5 -4 -4 -4 7
I know I’m not wrong,

-7 -8 7 7 -7 -7 -6
The feelings getting stronger,

5 6 6 -5 7 5 -4
The longer I stay away.

Verse 2
Miss the moss-covered vines,
the tall sugar pines
Where mockingbirds used to sing.
And I’d like to see
The lazy Mississippi
A-hurryin’ into Spring.

refrain

7 7 -7 6 5 -5 5
The moonlight on the bayou-

7 -8 7 7 -7 6 5 -4
A Creole tune that fills the air—

7 -7 -6 -5 -4 5 -4 -4 5
I dream about magnolias in June,

-5 6 -7 7 -8 -7 7 -7 -8
And soon I’m wishing that I was there.

Verse 3
Do you know what it means
to miss New Orleans
When that’s where you left your heart?
And there’s something more
I miss the one I care for

8 7 -6 8 -6 8 7
More than I miss New Orleans
