Man with Harmonica

Here is simple and better tab of Harmonica man theme from movie «Once
Upon a Time In The West».
Originally this sond was played on chromatic harmonica, byt on
diatonic it sound equally good. Did You noticed that Charles Bronson
in this movie is not playing on harp? =) Have a nice playing and let
Harmonica be with You all =]

Man With a Harmonica (with theme melody)

etc. etc.

5 6 -6 6 6 5 6 7 7 -7 7 -7 6

The first part is not unlike the tab infamis has posted (thank you
very very much, you helped my bending greatly when I started from
scratch five months ago — even made the whole thing fun). The second
part, however, is the melody from the song that hasn’t been posted
here before. It starts at 1.55 in the link.

There are many different instruments in the piece so everything
doesn’t translate well to harmonica. But if I come up with how to
involve more stuff, I’ll be sure to add it here. Btw, the (5) is in
the original song but I thought this sounded better without it.

I still have trouble writing bends down properly (I play only by ear
and don’t even know much about notes), so I didn’t include any in the
melody. My apologies, but feel free to experiment.

Man sagt, er war ein Dichter,

Seine Bilder und Vergleiche
waren schwierig zu verstehn,

[V4]
Man sagt, er war Politiker,
der rief: Ich mach euch frei!
Und die Masse wollte gern,
daß er ihr neuer König sei.
Er sprach laut von Korruption
und wies auf Unrecht offen hin,
doch man haßte seinen Einfluß —
und so kreuzigten sie ihn.

[V5]
;gespielt wie Vers 1

Er ist der Sohn des Höchsten,
doch er kam, um Mensch zu sein;
offenbarte Gottes Art,
um uns aus Sünde zu befrein.
So hab ich ihn erfahren,
ich begann, ihn so zu sehn.
Und ich meine, es wird Zeit,
wir sollten ihm entgegen gehn.

Man Of Constant Sorrow 1

MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW
Appalachian folk song
Joan Baez
Key: C

5 -4 4 -4 5 -4 4 5 6
I am a man of con-stant sor-row,
6 7 -7 -6 6 -5 5 -4
And I’ve seen trou-bles all my days.
5 5 -4 -4 5 -4 4 5 6
I’ll bid fare-well to old Ken-tuck-y,
7 7 -7 -6 6 -5 5 -4
The state where I was born and raised.

All through this world I’m bound to ramble,
Through sun and wind and driving rain,
I’m bound to ride the Northern Railway.
Perhaps I’ll take the very next train.

Your friends may think that I’m a stranger,
My face you’ll never see no more.
There is a promise that is given,
I’ll see you on God’s golden shore.

I always thought I had seen trouble,
Now I know it’s common run.
I’ll hang my head and weep in sorrow,
Just to think on what you’ve done.

And when I’m in some lonesome hour,
And I am feeling all alone,
I’ll weep the briny tears of sorrow,
And think of you so far a-gone.

That’s why I’m starting with me

Man In A Raincoat (chromatic)

MAN IN A RAINCOAT

(whistled intro)
9 -9* 11 -10 11
9 -9* 11 -10 11
9 -9* 11 -10 11 -9*

Late in the eve-ning,
1 -1* 3 -2 3
out in the square
1 -1* 3 -2
A man in a rain-coat,
3 1 -1* 3 -2 3
stand-ing there
4 3 -4
We met by the lamp
-4 -4 -3 3 -3
where the news-boy cries
-4 4 -4 3 -3
He stole my heart
-3 3 -1* -2
with his laugh-ing eyes
3 3* 3 -1* -2
We smiled as we climbed on
1 1 -1* 3 -2 3
the old street car
3 1 3 -2
I blushed when he asked
3 1 -1* 3 -2
«Are you trav-lin’ far»
3 3 4 3 -4
The next time we met
-4 -4 -3 3 -3
the sun shone all day
4 -4 -3 3 -3
We walked and we talked
-3 3 3 -1* -2
till the eve-ning was gray,
3 3* 3 -2 -1* -2

(9 -9* 11 -10 11
9 -9* 11 -10 11)

He took me danc-ing,
1 1-1* 3 -2 3
danc-ing till dawn
1 -1* 3 -2
No hap-pi-er cou-ple
3 1 -1* 3 -2 -2
had ev-er been born
3 4 4 3 -4
I felt like a queen
-3* -4 -3 3 -3
and he was my king
-44 -4 -3 3 -3
He bor-rowed some mon-ey
-3 3 3 -1* -2 -2
to buy me a ring
33* 3 -2 -1* -2
But I’m still a-lone
3 1 -1* 3 -2
the cards are all down
3 1 -1* 3 -2
He’s tak-en my mon-ey
3 1 1 3 -2 -2
and skipped out of town
3 4 4 3 -4
And now when I pass
-4 -4 -3 3 -3
the place where we met
4 -4 -3 3 -3
I’m won-d’ring if I
-3 3 3 -1* -2
can for-give and for- get
-2 3* 3 -2 -1* -2

9 -9* 11 -10 11
9 -9* 11 -10 11

Tho’ bit-ter is my heart
3 1 1 -1* 3 -2
And fool-ish-ly proud
3 1 -1* 3 -2
I still keep on look-ing
3 1 -1* 3 -2 3
When out in a crowd
3 4 4 3 -4
For a man in a rain-coat
-4 -4 -4 -3 3 -3 4
stand-ing there
-4 3 -3
With laugh-ing eyes
-3 3 -1* -2
and dark brown hair.
3* 3 -1* -2

Hummed outro;
(1 -1* 3 -2 3
1 -1* 3 -2 3____)

* means push the button

VERSE 3 (SAME AS VERSE 2)

The girls need a break—tonight we’re gonna take
The chance to get out on the town
We don’t need romance—we only wanna dance
We’re gonna let our hair hang down

The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun and…

[V2]
Und ich hört von der Stadt ohne Sorgen,
ohne Leiden und Not ohne Tränen
und dahin alle Herzen sich sehnen,
und einmal, bald einmal bin ich da.
Halleluja! Da freuen sich alle.
Alle Zweifel sind gänzlich verschwunden
und wir jubeln im himmlischen Saale.
O mein Freund bald, ja bald bin ich da!

[V3]
Und vom Glanze der goldenen Kronen,
man erzählt uns vom schneeweißen Kleide,
womit Gott uns will alle belohnen,
und einmal, bald einmal bin ich da.
Helleluja! Im Geist will ich singen.
Ich kann hören der Engel Gesänge.
JUubelklänge dem Herzen entspringen,
denn ich weiß: Bald, ja bald bin ich da!

As mine does, for you
6 -6 8 -7 8 -7
And yet I know too well
6 -6 8 -7 8 -7
Some-day you’ll say good-bye
6 -6 7 -9 7 -7
Then vi-o-lins will cry

And so will I, Ma’m-selle

Mam-mas, don’t let your b-a-b-ies

Lone Star belt buck-les,

8 8 8 8 -9 8
and old, fad-ed Le-vis;

-6 -6 7 7 -8 7 7 7 7-6
And each night be-gins a new day.

If you don’t un-der-stand him

and he don’t die young,

he’ll prob-a-bly just r-ide a-way.

Verse 2
Cowboys like smokey old pool rooms and clear mountain mornings,
Little warm puppies and children and girls of the night.
Them that don’t know him won’t like him,
And them that do sometimes won’t know how to take him.
He ain’t wrong, he’s just diff’rent; but his pride
Won’t let him do things to make you think he’s right.
