ME AND BOBBY MC GEE Joplin

-5 -5 6 -5 -3* -3* -4
Bust-ed flat in Bat-on Rouge,
-5 6 -5 4 -4
Wait-in’ for a train,
3 3 3 -5 -5 -5 -5
When I was feel-in’ near as
4 -4 -33 3 -3
fad-ed as my jeans.
5 5 -5 5 -3 -3 -4
Bob-by thumbed a die-sel down,
5 5 -5 5 -55-3-4
just be-fore it rained;
5 5 5 -5 5 -4-3 3 -3 3 -4
They rode us all the way to New Or-leans.
-5 -5 6 -5 5-4 5 5
I pulled my har-poon out of
5-5 -5 -5 6 6 -5 5 -4
my dir-ty red ban-dan-na,
-5 -5 -5 -5 -5 6
I was play-in’ soft while
-6 -6 6 -5 6
Bob-by sang the blues.
-5 5 7 7 7 7 -7 7 -6
Yeah, wind-shield wip-ers slap-in’ time,
6 -5 -5 5 -5 -5 6 -5 5
I was hold-in Bob-by’s hand in mine
-4 -3 -4 -3 -4-3 -3 -4 -3 -5
We sang ev-‘ry song that driv-er knew.

6 6 6 -6* 7 -6* 6
Free-dom’s just an-oth-er word
6 -5 5 -4 5 -5
for noth-in’ left to lose:
-4 -3 7 7 -8 -7
Noth-in’ don’t mean noth-in’
6 7 7 76-5 -3 -4
if it ain’t free no no.
7 6 6 6 7 -7* 7 -7*7
If feel-ing good was eas-y, Lord,
7 -6 7 7 7-6-5
when he sang the blues.
-5 5 -3 -3 -3
you know feel-ing good
-4 4 -4 4-4 -3 -5
was good e-nough for me;
-3 -3 -3 -4 4 4 -5 -4 -4 -3 3
Good e-nough for me and my Bob-by Mc-Gee.

Bob-by ba-by helped me from the whole world.

One day up near Sal-i-nas, Lord,

I let him slip a-way,

He’s look-in’ for that home
7 -7 -7 -7 -6*6-5 -55
And I hope he finds it.

But I’d trade all of my to-mor-rows
-7 -7 8 -77 -7 -7 -776
for one sin-gle yes-ter-day,
6 6 -4 -4 -4 5* -5 -5 -4 -3 6
to be hold-in’ Bob-by’s bod-y next to mine.

Me and Bobby McGee

C Tenor — Low C

7 7 7 7 7 -6 6 7 7 7 -6 6
Busted flat in Baton Rouge, headin’ for the train,
6 7 7 6 -6 6 -5 5 -5
Feelin’ nearly faded as my jeans.
-6 6 -6 6 -6 6 -5 -6 6 -6 6 -5
Bobby thumbed a diesel down, just before it rained;
-6 6 -6 -6 6 -5 5 -5 6
Took us all the way to New Orleans.
7 7 7 7 7 -6 6 -6 7 7 7 7 -6 6
I took my harpoon out of my dirty red bandanna,
6 -6 7 7 7 -7 <-7 <-7 7 6 -6
And was blowing sad while Bobby— sang the blues.
-7 -8 8 8 8 8 8 -8 -7
With them windshield wipers slappin’ time,
-6 7 -6 6 -6 7
And Bobby clappin’ hands,
6 -6 6 -5 -5 -5 6 -6 -5 5 -4 5
We finally sang up every song that driver knew.

8 8 8 8 8 -8 -7 -7 7 -6 6 -6 7
Freedom’s just another word for nothing’ left to lose:
-6 -6 -6 -6 6 -5 5 -5 6
Nothin’ ain’t worth nothin’ but it’s free.
8 8 8 8 8 -8 -7 -6 7 -6 6 -6 7
Feeling good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues.
-5 -5 -5 6 -6 -5 -5 -5 -4
Feeling good was good enough for me;
-6 -6 -6 6 -5 -5 -5 5 -4 5
Good enough for me and Bobby McGee.

6 -6 7 7 7 7 7 -6 6 -6 7 7 7 -6 6
From the coal mines of Kentucky to the California sun,
6 7 7 6 -6 6 -5 5 -5
Bobby shared the secrets of my soul.
-6 6 -6 6 -6 6 -5 -5 -6 6 -6 6 -5
Standin’ right beside me, Lord, through everything I’ve done,
-6 6 -6 -6 6 -5 5 -5 6
Every night she kept me from the cold.
7 7 7 7 7 7 -6 6 -6 7 7 7 -6 6
Then somewhere near Salinas, Lord, I let her slip away,
7 7 7 -7 <-7 <-7 7 6 -6
Lookin’ for the home I hope she’ll find.
-7 -7 -8 8 8 8 8 -8 -7 -6 7 -6 6 -6 7
And I’d trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday,
-5 -5 -5 6 -6 -5 5 -4 5
Holdin’ Bobby’s body next to mine.

8 8 8 8 8 -8 -7 -7 7 -6 6 -6 7
Freedom’s just another word for nothing’ left to lose:
-6 -6 -6 -6 6 -5 5 -5 6
Nothin’ left is all she left for me.
8 8 8 8 8 -8 -7 -6 7 -6 6 -6 7
Feeling good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues.
-5 -5 -5 6 -6 -5 -5 -5 -4
Buddy, that was good enough for me;
-6 -6 -6 6 -5 -5 -5 5 -4 5
Good enough for me and Bobby McGee.

McDonalds Theme

Well, one day i was playing around with my piano and ended up with the
little «Ba Dup Bup Bup Ba, I’m lovin’ it» tune McDonald’s has and I
figured I would transfer it to harmonica and post it here…

4 -4 5 -6 6 5 -4 4 4

This should be played on a C harmoncia, however it sounds well on
almost every diatonic harmonica I have.

ingenting att goera oot, ta mig fan.

Above is only the first verse.
(The last three words is a curse, I will be damned)
The song is about a man who is about to be hanged, after proven
guilty. the four men, were the Kings soldiers, who had raped his
daughter.
Anders regrets nothin. If I dont get to heaven, I guess I will meet
them again.

This Swedish folksong got lyrics from the late Cornelis Vreesvijk, who
was like a mix of Pete Seger and Bob Dylan and very loved in Sweden
and Scandinavia. It is easy to find recordings by him. Originally I
think the song came from Ireland.

Maybellene

Chorus:
-6 6 6 -6 -6 6 -6 6
Maybellene, why can’t you be true?

-6 6 5 4 -4 -4 4 -4 5
Oh Maybellene, why can’t you be true?

5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5
You’ve started back doing

-5 6 6 5 -4 4
the things you used to do.

Verse 1:
5 5 5 5 5 5 5 4 4 4 5
As I was motivatin’ over the hill,

5 5 5 5 5 4 4 4 4 4
I saw Maybellene in a coup de ville.

4 5 5 5 5 5 5 4 4 4 4 5
A cadillac a-rollin’ on the open road,

5 5 5 5 4 4 4 4 4
nothin’ will outrun my V 8 Ford.

4 5 5 5 5 5 4 4 4 5
The cadillac doin’ ’bout ninety-five,

5 5 5 5 5 5 4 4 4 4 4
she’s bumper to bumper rollin’ side by side.

Chorus:

Verse 2:
Pink in the mirror on top of the hill,
it’s just like swallowin’ up a mdicine pill.
First thing I saw that cadillac grille,
doin’ a hundred and ten gallopin’ over that hill.
Offhill curve, a downhill strech,
me and that cadillac, nec by neck.

Chorus:

Verse 3:
The cadillac pulled up ahead of the ford,
the ford got hot and wouldn’t do no more.
It then got cloudy and it started to rain,
I tooted my horn for a passin’ lead.
The rain water blowin’ all under my hood,
I knew that was doin, my motor good.

Chorus:

Verse 4:
The motor cooled down the heat went down,
and thats when I heard that highway sound.
The cadillac a-sittin’ like a ton of lead,
a hundred and ten a half a mile ahead.
The cadillac lookin’ like it’s sittin’ still,
and I caught Maybellene at the top of the hill.

Chorus

Maybe U Were Meant For Me

7 7 7 -6 6 -6 6
Maybe, you were meant for me,

-6 5-6 -4 -4 -4 -4 5
And maybe it was meant to be

5 4 4 -4 5 -5
And maybe you’ll come back

6 -6 6 5
to me someday.

7 7 7 -6 6 -6 6
Maybe I’ll be on the shelf

-6 5 -6 -4 -4 -4 -4 5
And maybe you’ll be by yourself

5 4 4 -4 5 -5 6 -6 -3 4
And maybe you’ll come back to me someday.

6 6 6 7 7 7 6 -6 6
I get so lonely thinking of you,

5 5 5 5 -6 -6 7 -6 6 -6 6
But I’ve got a feeling you are lonely too.

-6 5 -6 -4 -4 -4 -4 5
And maybe you will realize

5 7 -6 7 -6 7 -6 6
That true love never really dies,

-6 5 -6 7 -6 7 -6 6 5 4
And maybe you’ll come back to me some day.

6 6 6 7 7 7 6 -6 6
If you remember dreaming those dreams

5 5 5 5 -6 -6
And if you remember

7 -6 6 -6 6
scheming all those schemes,

7 7 7 7 -6 6 -6 6
Then maybe you were meant for me

-6 5 -6 -4 -4 -4 -4 5
And maybe it was meant to be,

5 4 4 -4 5 -5 6 -6 -7 7
Then maybe you’ll come back to me some day.

may-be the one who is wait-ing for you

May the mind of Christ my Saviour

Live in me from day to day,

By His love and pow’r controlling
-4 -4 6 -4 -45-44
All I do and sa-ay.
4 -4 4 -3 4
All I do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.
Only through His power.

May the peace of God my Father
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.
Sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill me
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing,
This is victory.
This is victory.

May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.
As I onward go.

May His beauty rest upon me
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.
Seeing only Him.
