My God (Stevie’s Blues Harp Solo)

Yes Folks you have not read it wrong STEVEN SEAGAL!! beleive it or not
he is also actually an accomplished guitarist, with a preference for
blues. he is actually not only good friends with BB King but also one
of his house band members at his club when he is in town!
Steven put out a Cd called «songs from the Crystal Cave» which has all
music types on it and a bunch of duets with the likes of BB King and
of course STEVIE WONDER! i watched a doco on this and apparently these
two are very close friends, which is how he got him to play on his CD.
the 4th song on the album is called «My God» and Stevie plays an
amazing BLUESY solo, which he plays heavily distorted through a blues
mic for the first and only time thus far in stevie’s career, well
worth the listen.
and for those obsessed Stevie fans like myself here is the tab of the
SOLO note for note

NOTE* < MEANS PLAY THE HOLE WITH THE SLIDE BAR PRESSED IN! when you see notes in brackets its a trill in other words he plays them fast and rolls it 02:18 11(hold),<-10,10,-9,-9,-9,10,-9,10,(10,<10,10), -9,-7,-7,7,-7,7,6,-5,-5,6,-5,6,-5,6,-5,7,6, -7,6,7,6,-7,6,7,6,-7,6,7,6,-7,6,7,6,-7,6,7,6, -7,6,-7,6,-7,6,7,-7,6,7,6,-7,6,7,6,-5,<4+5,6, <-6,<-6,7,-7,<-7,-8,7,-7,<-7,-7,7,7,-7,7,6 ENJOY!!! My Foolish Heart

By Ned Washington & Victor Young
Frank Sinatra
Key: Bb

-6 -6 -3* -5 -6 7 -7 7
The night is like a love-ly tune,
7 7 5 -5* 7 -7
Be-ware my fool-ish heart!
-7 -7 -5 -6 -7 -7* 8 -7*
How white the ev-er con-stant moon,

take care, my fool-ish heart!

There’s a line be-tween

love and fas-cin-a-tion,

That’s hard to see on an ev-‘ning such as this,

For they both give the ver-y same sen-sa-tion.

When you’re lost in the mag-ic of a kiss.

Your lips are much too close to mine,

Be-ware my fool-ish heart!
-7 -7 -5 -6 -7 -7* 8 -7*
But should our ea-ger lips com-bine,

then let the fire start.

7 -7 -6 6 -5 5
O let me from this day

1 -1 3 1
4 -4 6 4
be whol-ly Thine!

May thy rich grace impart
strength to my fainting heart,
my zeal inspire!
As thou hast died for me,
O may my love to thee
pure, warm, and changeless be,
a living fire!

While life’s dark maze I tread,
and griefs around me spread,
be thou my guide;
bid darkness turn to day,
wipe sorrow’s tears away,
nor let me ever stray
from thee aside.

When ends life’s transient dream,
when death’s cold, sullen stream
shall o’er me roll;
blest Savior, then in love,
fear and distrust remove;
O bear me safe above,
a ransomed soul!

My Father

By: Judy Collins
Key: Bb

-6 -6 -6 -6 7 -6 -5* -5
My fath-er al-ways prom-ised us
-5* -5* -5 5 -3* -5
That we would live in France
-6 -6 -6 7 -6 -5* -5
We’d go boat-ing on the Seine
-6 -5* -5 5 -3* -6
And I would learn to dance

-7* -7* -7* 8-7*-7 7
We lived in O-hi-o then
-7 -7 -7 -7* -7
He worked in the mines
7* 7* 7* -7* 7*
On his streams like boats
7 -6 -7 77*7-6 -6 -5
We knew we’d sail in time

All my sisters soon were gone
To Denver and Cheyenne
Marrying their grownup dreams
The lilacs and the man

I stayed behind the youngest still
Only danced alone
The colors of my father’s dreams
Faded without a sound

And I live in Paris now
My children dance and dream
Hearing the ways of a miner’s life
In words they’ve never seen

I sail my memories of home
Like boats across the Seine
And watch the Paris sun
As it sets in my father’s eyes again

My father always promised us
That we would live in France
We’d go boating on the Seine
And I would learn to dance

I sail my memories of home
Like boats across the Seine
And watch the Paris sun
As it sets in my father’s eyes again

My Eyes (Dr. Horrible)

Part 1: Dr. Horrible/Billy

5 5 5 -5 5 -4 5
Any dolt with half a brain
4 4 -4 5 5 5 -5 5 -4 5
can see that humankind has gone insane
4 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5
to the point where I don’t know
-4 4 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5
if I’ll upset the status quo
4 -4 5 5 -5 5 -4 4 -4 5
if I throw poison in the water main
-5 -5 6 -5 5 -4 4 -4 5
Listen close to ev-‘ry-bo-dy’s heart
5 -5 -5 6 -5 5.-4.4
and hear that breaking sound
-5 -5 6 -5 5 -4 4 -4 5
Hopes and dreams are shat-ter-ing a-part
-4 5 5 6 5 -4
and crashing to the ground

-7 7 -7 7 -7 6 -5
I cannot be-lieve my eyes
-6 -7 7 -7 7 -7 6 -5
How the world’s filled with filth and lies
-6 -7 7 8 8
But it’s plain to see
8 -8 7 -8 -6 7
e-vil in-side of me
5 7 -7 7.-7.-6.6.5
is on the rise

Part 2: Penny
7 -7 7
Look a-round
7 -8 7 -6 -7 6 5 6
we’re li-ving with the lost and found
6 -5 6 7 -7 7 -7 7
Just when you feel you’ve al-most drowned
7 -8 7 -6 -7 6 5 6
You find your-self on so-lid ground
6 6 7 -6 -6 -8
and you be-lieve there’s good
-7 7 -7 -6 -7 7
in ev-‘ry-bo-dy’s heart
-6 -6 -8 -7 7.-7.-6
Keep it safe and sound
-6 -8 7 -7 -6 -7 7
With hope you can do your part
-7 -7 7 -7 7 -7
to turn a life a-round

-8 8 -8 8 -8 -7 -6
I can-not be-lieve my eyes
7 -8 8 -8 8 -8 -7 -6
Is the world fin-ally grow-ing wise?
7 -8 8 9 9
‘Cause it seems to me
8 -8 7 -8 -6 7
Some kind of har-mo-ny
5 7 -7 7.-7.-6
is on the rise

Part 3 is a duet, combining parts 1 & 2. It’s a bit more than tab notation can handle.

Enjoy
