Annie-s Song

7 7 -7 -6 7 -7
You fill up my senses

-6 -6 -6 -7 7 6 5
Like a night in the forest;

6 6 6 -6 -7 7 -7
Like the mountains in springtime;

-6 -6 -6 -7 7 -7
Like a walk in the rain.

7 7 7 -7 -6 7 -7
Like a storm in the desert;

-6 -6 -6-7 7 6 5
Like a sleepy blue ocean.

6 6 -6 -7 7 -7 -6 -7 7 -8 7
You fill up my sense, come fill me again.

7 7-7 -6 7 -7
Come let me love you;

-6 -6 -6 -7 7 6 5
Let me give my life to you;

Anniversary Song

Waltz beat 3/4 (based on a theme by Ivanovici)

3 -3 4 -4 -3 3 -4 -4 4 6
Oh! how, we danced on the night we were wed,
6 -6 6 -5 6 -5 5 -4 5 -4 4
We vowed our true love, though a word was-n’t said
3 3 -3 4 -4 -3 3 -4 -4 4
The world was in bloom, there were stars in the

skies,
6 -6 6 -5 6 -5 5 -4 5 -4 4
Ex-cept for a few, that were there in your eyes,
3 3 -3 4 -4 -3 3 -4 -4 4 6
The night seemed to fade in-to blos-som-ing dawn,
6 -6 6 -5 6 -5 5 -4 5 -4 4
The sun shone a-new but the dance ling-ered on,
3 3 -3 4 -4 -3 3 -4 -4 4 6
Could we but re-live that sweet mo-ment sub-lime,
6 -6 6 -5 6 -5 5 -4 5 3 4
We’d find that our love is un-al-tered by time.
-6 -6 -6 -6 -6 -6 -6 6 -5 6
Dear, as I held you so close in my arms,
-5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5 5 -4 5
An-gels were sing-ing a hymn to your charms,
5 -4 -4 -4 -4 -4 -4 -4 4 -3 4
Two hearts gent-ly beat-ing were mur-mur-ing low,
-6 -5 -4 -3 4 -3 4
“My Darl-ing, I love you so”.

6 -6 -6 -7
Here comes the night
6 6 -6 -6 -7
A veil over the light
-7 -7 7 7 -7 -7 -7 -7 -6 -6 6 -6
In the distance some shadows of the clouds in the sky
7 7 7 -8
I’ve got to get home,
-7 -7 -7 -6 -6
to my child, my wife
6 -6 -6 -7
Here comes the night
-6 -6 -7 -7 -6
I’m scared to death,
6 -6 -7 -6 6 -6
got to get me a ride
-6 -6 -6 -7 -6 -6 6 6 6 5 6
It looks like the road is swallowing me up
-7 -7 -8 -8 8
Gotta hurry home,
-6 -7 -6 -6 (6) -6
don’t dare to look back
-6 -7 -6 6 5 6 9
Blueville is straight ahead

-6 -7 -7 -7 -7 -6 -7 5
Another 45 miles to go
-6 -7 -7 -7 -7 -6 -6 -6 -7 5
Another 45 miles before I’m home
-7 7 7 7-7 -7 -7 -6 -6 6 -6
I wish i could pay the sun to run
-7 -7 7 7 7 -8 -7 -7 -7 -6 -6 6 -6
Then I had some more time, with my wife, my son

-7 -8 -8 8
Clouds in the sky
-7 -7 -7 -8 -8 8
Gathering for a fight
7 7 7 -7
Chasing their prey,
-7 -7 -7 -7 -6 6 -6
till it can’t go on
-7 7 7 -8
I mend my pace,
-7 -7 -7 -6 -6 6 -6
‘cos my bride is waiting home
6 -6 -6 -7
Here comes the night
-6 -6 -7 -7 -6
I’m scared to death,
6 -6 -7 -6 6 -6
got to get me a ride
-6 -6 -6 -7 -6 -6 6 6 6 5 6
It looks like the road is swallowing me up
-7 -7 -8 -8 8

Another Brick In The Wall (Parts 1-3)

ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL Part 1

-4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5
Dad-dy’s flown a-cross the o-cean, leav-ing just
5 -4 5 -5 4 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 5
a mem-o-ry. The snap-shot in the fam-‘ly al-bum.
-4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 -4 6 6 -5
Dad-dy what else did you leave for me? Dad-dy,
6 -5 -6 6 -5 6 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5
what d’ya leave be-hind for me? All in all it was
5 5 5 -4 4 -4 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5 5
just a brick in the wall. All in all it was all
5 5 -4 4 -4
just bricks in the wall.

ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL Part 2

-4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 5
We don’t need no ed-u-ca-tion, we don’t need no
-4 5 -5 3 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5

Hey, teach-er! Leave them kids a-lone. All in
-5 -5 -5 -5 5 5 5 -4 4 -4 -5
all it’s just an-oth-er brick in the wall. All
-5 -5 -5 -5 5 5 5 5 -4 4 -4
in all it was, just an-other brick in the wall.

ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL Part 3

-4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5
I don’t need no arms a-round me, I don’t need
5 -4 5 -5 -6 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5
no drugs to calm me. I have seen the writ-ing
-5 4 -4 -4 5 -5 5 -4 5 -5 -4
on the wall. Don’t think I need a-ny-thing at
6 6 6 -5 6 -5 -6 6 -5 6 -5
all. No! Don’t think I’ll need a-ny-thing at all.
-5 -5 -5 -5 -5 5 5 5 -4 4 -4
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.

Another Grey Morning

7* -8   8* -8   -8   7* 7* -6* -6* 6   6

When I feel as though my love is sink-ing down

-5   6   6   6   6 -7 -6*6

The sun does-n’t want to shine

6   7* -8  8* -8   -8   7* 7* -6* -6* 6

When it feels like she won’t face a-noth-er day

6 -5 6   6   6    6 -6* -6* -6*

Life is un-kind, she’s fro-zen in time

-4   6   -6* 7 7 -6* -5   -3   -4

And here comes a-noth-er grey morn-ing

-4 7 -6* -5   -3 -4   -4 -3 -4

A not so good morn-ing aft-er all

6   -6*     7 -6* 6 -5 -3 -4 -4

She says, “what am I to do to-day

-3   -3 -5   -5   -5 -5* -5* 6 -6*

With too much time and so much sor-row”?

6   -6*   7 -7 -6* -6* 6 -5   6   -4

She hears the ba-by wak-ing up down-stairs

6   -6*   7   7   -6*   6   -5 -3 -4   -4   -3   -4

She hears the fog-horn call-ing out a-cross the sound

-4 6 -6* 7-6* 6 -5   -3 -4 -4

Re-pe-ti-tion in the morn-ing air,

-3 -3   -5 -5 -3 -6* -3 -5* -5* 6   -6* 8*

Is just too much to bear and no one seems to care.

8 -8 -8 -8 -8 -8   -8   -8 -8 -8 -8 -8-8   -8 -8

If a-noth-er day goes creep-ing by emp-ty and a-sham-ed

7   -7 -8 -8 -8 -8 -8   -8 -3 -6* -7 -6*   -8

Like an old un-want-ed mem-‘ry that no one will claim

3    6     7   7     7   -7 -8   -6*

The clouds with their heads on the ground,

-3   -5 6 -6* 6   6   6

She’s gon-na have to come down.

7* -8     8* -8   8* 7* -4   7* -8 -8   8*

She said, “move me, move me, I’m locked up in-side”

-5 -6* -7 -7 -7 -7   -7 -8    5   6   7   6  -7

Well, I did-nt un-der-stand her though God knows I tried

7* -8     8* -8 8* 7* 6   7* -8 10 8*

She said, “make me ang-ry but just make me cry

5 -6* 7   -7 -7 -8 5   6   7 -7 -8 -8

But no more grey morn-ing I think I’d rath-er die”.

you leave me wanting, always leave me wanting more.

-3” -3” -3 -3” 4 -3 -3 -3   -3 -3 -3 4

Last word to-da-y, ya coming home to sta-y?

4 -3      4   3   3     3 -3” 3

Wouldn’t that be nice, for a while?

-3’ -5 -5 -5   5   -4 4   4 -4 5   -4

But now my take-out food is gro-w-ing cold,

-5 -5   -5 5     -4   4 6   6   6   -4

and the candle’s burned a hole in the floor

-4 5   -5   -5 5   -4   4   4 -3” 5   -4

And I’m still waiting for the ring of the phone.

-6 -6 -6 6

I’m all alone

-6 -7 7 -7 -6 6   -6     5 5   -4

It’s another rainy night, without you.

6     -6   -6   6   7   -6 7 -7 -6 6

Guess I’ll leave the light on for y-o-u.

5   5   -5 -5 5 -4 4   4 -3”   5 -4   3 -3”

It’s just another rainy ni-ght, without yo-u.

-2’ -1   5     5   5 5   -5 5

Listen, there’s a foghorn blowing

-3   -3   -3   -3 -3

from the coast tonight

-3 -3 -3 -3 -2   2   3 -3” 3

Remember making love in the rain?

5   -5   6 6     -6   5   -4 -4 -4 5 -4

Strange how laughter looks like crying with no sound

-3   4     -3   4   -3 3 4 -3   3   -3”

Raindrops taste like te-ars without the pain.

-3” -3” -3” -3” -3” -3   4     -3   -3 -3 -3 4 -3

I’m not much without you, can’t leave if I wanted to.

-3 -3 -3     3   3   3   -3” 3

Maybe that’s why you stay around

5   -5 -5   5   -4   4   4 -4   5   -4

But tonight I’ll sit here tending the fire

-5   -5 -5   -5   5   -4 4     6   6 6   -4

and pace the floor one hundred times in an hour

5   -5   -5   -5   5   -4 4 4 -3”   5     -4

And check the voice-mail for a message you’ve called.

-6 -6 -6 6

I’m all alone

It’s another rainy night, without you.

5 -5   -5   -5 -4 -4 -4

I know I’ve said it before

6   6   6   6   6   6 5     5

hate the sound of the closing door

5   5   -5 -5     5 -4   -4 5

and your footsteps walking away.

Another Time and Place (in Harmonic Minor Tuning)

The main riff that runs throughout is in the key of “A Harmonic Minor”. There’s a really cool harp solo in “A Natural Minor” which I haven’t included, but I’ve indicated where it comes. I’ll try and tab that if anyone’s interested? Of course, to get anything like the actual tune, the kind of microphone/equaliser that Lee Oskar uses, would be needed (and of course an additional guitar, drums, keyboard and saxophone!).
